“Perfect Pitch” seems to be a hotly debated topic. Some argue that you can only have it if you’re born with it, and others claim it can be learned. No matter what side of this argument you may fall on, one thing is certain: the ability to call out pitch instantly upon hearing them is a tremendous benefit to any musician. This Pure Pitch Method review will discuss this popular course in detail.
Created by music pro Ryan Cameron, the Pure Pitch Method is a step-by-step course designed to teach you how to master pitch recognition in under six weeks. My hat is off to Ryan for putting this together, I struggled for years as a guitarist before finally learning how to recognize pitches. It’s funny, but I got a lot better on the guitar after learning pitch recognition, and I wasn’t even practicing guitar.
What’s Inside? Great question. They have broken this course into two sections for you. The first part is the eBook, which contains 12o pages of lessons. The sheer amount of information can be a bit much, but if you take it one day at a time it will be easy. In fact, every lesson in this course simply builds on the last one, so you can get the best use of the course by learning each lesson completely before moving on.
The manual is actauly broken up into two sections, Note Recognition and Chord Recognition. The lessons discuss each one of these individually and goes into a lot of detail about each.
There are 39 audio lessons that go along with the lesson in the manual. How much time will it take to finish? That really depends on how comfortable you are with your progress, but six weeks is a pretty good ballpark. I took 8 weeks to finish the course, but I was on vacation for part of that. My lead guitarist finished it in 4 weeks.
How about downsides? Yes, two come to mind. The manual and audio are only available in English as of this writing, so this product may not appeal to the whole world. However, if you can read and understand my writing right now, you’ll be fine. The second thing is that the Manual comes as an eBook. At first I was thinking I would get a book actually shipped to me.
However, I talked to their support and they do this for two reasons. One, you have lifetime access to any updates to the book, and two, you get instant access. If you’re anything like me, you like to have your hands on something the second you purchase it! The instant download gives you the ability access to whole course in seconds.
Bottom Line? I’ve seen my fair share of products and I can honestly say this one is a standout. MyGuitarGuide.com readers have also rated this product 4.5 out of 5 stars, and they have a money back guarantee if you aren’t happy. My favorite thing about this course is that it makes you a better musician by allowing you to hear notes much much better. I have no problem recommending Pure Pitch Method, and you should check it out today if you want to really improve your skills.
