My Pure Pitch Method Review

“Perfect Pitch” seems to be a hotly debated topic. Some claim that you can only be born with it, while others say it can be learned. Whatever your thoughts are, you can't deny that the ability to easily recognize pitch is a huge skill set for any musician to have. In this Pure Pitch Method review I’ll discuss what this popular package is all about.

Created by music pro Ryan Cameron, the Pure Pitch Method is a step-by-step course designed to teach you how to master pitch recognition in under six weeks. My hat is off to Ryan for putting this together, I struggled for years as a guitarist before finally learning how to recognize pitches. The funny thing is that I actually became a much better musician after mastering pitch recognition, and it improved my guitar playing immensely even though I wasn’t actually working on guitar technique.

What's Inside? Great question. They have broken this course into two sections for you. The first is the eBook, and that contains 120 pages of lessons and information. This may feel like information overload when you first see it, but try to just focus on one lesson at a time. In fact, each of the 39 lessons is built on the last one, so you will really do yourself a favor if you just take it one step at a time and learn each one completely before moving on.

The manual is actauly broken up into two sections, Note Recognition and Chord Recognition. The course discusses each one in great detail, and talks about each separately.

There are 39 audio lessons that go along with the lesson in the manual. How much time will it take to finish? That really depends on how comfortable you are with your progress, but six weeks is a pretty good ballpark. It took me 7 weeks to get through it, but that was because I went on vacation. My brother finished it in 2 weeks.

Are there any drawbacks? Yes, there are two. The manual and audio are only available in English as of this writing, so this product may not appeal to the whole world. But, if you can read this sentence Ok then you will be fine. The other thing is that the Manual comes to you as a downloadable eBook. At first I thought I wanted to get a hardcover book shipped to me.

They actually do this for two good reasons. First, you have lifetime access to this material, and secondly you get instant access. If you're anything like me, you like to have your hands on something the second you purchase it! The instant download gives you access to the audio and manual seconds after you purchase it.

My Conclusion? I have gone through countless products and this one is a real winner. MyGuitarGuide.com readers have also rated this product 4.5 out of 5 stars, and they have a money back guarantee if you aren't happy. The best part of the course, hands down, is that it really opens up your ears to new sounds and will make you a better musician. I strongly encourage you to take a look at the Pure Pitch Method Course if you want to be a better musician.

Jamorama Best Method To Learn Guitar?

If you attempt to search the internet for the best guitar courses out there, you will quickly find that there are many different guitar programs available.  Some are software based, while others are only available online. These courses are all of varying quality and the most difficult part is figuring out which is the best guitar program for you.  Instead of wasting your time and money testing out which guitar course you should buy, let me recommend one of my favorites called Jamorama.

In this Jamorama review, I am going to tell you about this guitar course created and taught by Ben Edwards.  Jamorama uses a unique system to teach guitar by putting together software, video and games to help you learn the guitar.  The course is well suited for beginners, but by the time you finish the course, you should be playing songs on your guitar like a pro.  You can download all of the Jamorama lessons to your computer so you can practice at any time that is convenient for you.  The video lessons are all high quality, and the practice exercises are fun and effective.

I really enjoyed the Jamorama Jam Tracks.  The 26 different Jam Tracks cover a broad range of musical styles like country, jazz, blues, rock and hip-hop.  They are an excellent method to help your fundamental guitar skills.  Some extra bonus software is also included with Jamorama.  I like using the GuitarEarIt software which helps you to transcribe songs from the radio or your own CDs.  Jayde Musica Pro is a cool game that makes the normally boring task of reading music fun.

Jamorama is only $39.95 and comes with a full 60 day money back guarantee.  Jamorama creator, Ben Edwards is a very good guitar teacher and I think you will like his teaching style.  Jamorama will provide you with a solid foundation and you will be impressing your friends with your new guitar playing skills in no time.  Check out Jamorama if you are truly serious about learning how to play the guitar.

Barry Manilow – Singer And Songwriter

For generations, Barry Manilow has been singing his way into the hearts of millions of people from every corner of the globe. His songs are anthems for couples in every time zone, and his songwriting acumen is legendary.  Manilow returned to the stage in Las Vegas in 2006. Manilow will be playing regular shows at the Las Vegas Hilton, and his appearance is just another reason to visit Las Vegas, the best known oasis in the world. The following is a recap of how Barry became “Manilow”.

Early Life

Barry Alan Pincus was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 17, 1943. His father was of Russian and Jewish descent, and his mother was Irish. His parents split up when Barry was only two, and he was raised by his mother and maternal grandparents. Manilow began learning music at the age of seven when he started playing the piano and accordion.

Prior to his Bar Mitzvah at age 13, Barry began to sing. It was also at this time that he changed his name to match that of his mother’s maiden name – Manilow. In several ways, 1956 was the year Barry Manilow was “born”.

Budding Career

He continued singing through high school, and upon graduation, he was accepted to the prestigious Julliard School of Music. He paid his tuition by working in the CBS mail room. This proved to be a fortuitous school-time job. Manilow advanced at CBS, and wound up serving as the musical director for the CBS show Callback.

For the next few years, Manilow made his way by writing and performing advertising jingles, including the now-famous song for State Farm Insurance. His work got him noticed, and in 1971 he was hired by Bette Midler as her pianist and music director. He accompanied her on several bath house performances in New York City before Midler herself gained fame and fortune. His work with Midler helped her rise to the top, and as a result, Manilow landed his first record deal in 1973.

Potential Reached

Although Manilow’s first album, Barry Manilow, was not a huge success, his follow-up, Barry Manilow II, contained what became his first smash hit, the single, Mandy, which climbed to number one in both the US and UK. From there, an incredible run of commercial success ensued. Manilow’s next six albums all reached the Top 10 on the US Album charts, and some of the singles he produced during this time have remained popular to this day, including I Write The Songs in 1975 and Looks Like We Made It in 1977.

In all, Manilow has released over 30 albums, and 13 of them have risen to number one on the US Album charts, which is an unbelievable rate of success. Manilow’s style has transformed over the years as well. His early works were almost exclusively love songs and ballads. Early in the 1980’s, Barry worked with the great jazz singers Mel Torme and Sarah Vaughn and focused more on smooth jazz songs.

Overall, though, Manilow is best known for his romantic singing and sometimes crooning ways on stage, and his shows have been sold out in nearly every venue for decades. Manilow now has millions of fans and is frequently imitated by others.

Manilow has won two Grammy Awards during his career for his singing performances, and in 2002, he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone Magazine called him the best performer of his generation. Barry’s work for charities are too numerous to list.

There are many reasons to take in a Barry Manilow show. We’ve listed a few, but a trip to Las Vegas would be well worth your time to see one of the true icons of musical performance.

Online Singing Lessons

I believe that deep inside, everyone would like to be able to sing better. Singing is such a basic and instinctive form of human expression. It’s like asking someone if they’d like to be able to express themselves better. Pretty much everyone would answer yes to that.

As a singer you stand out from the crowd because so few people exploit their natural singing talent. So when you can sing well you can easily win the admiration and respect of people. I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t enjoy being on the receiving end of a standing ovation after a live performance. There really is nothing like it! Ready to release your true singing voice, then check out these singing lessons online.

Of course people have different singing goals. Some folks reach for the stars and dream of 50 000 adoring fans cheering them on. For some folks being the front singer of a band would be a dream come true in itself. These days, more and more people would love to impress the judges in shows like American Idol. Or how about impressing your friends with your singing skills at the next karaoke night? But even if you want to sing to feel good about yourself and high on life that’s a great reason to learn to sing today.

The fact is that learning to sing can do so much for you. While there are so many clear benefits in learning to sing, I can’t for the life of me think of any disadvantages. Singing makes you feel good, it’s also proven to be good for health. Singing will also do so much for your self-confidence. It’s an awesome way to express yourself and be better understood.

What’s keeping you from being a great singer? Fear and doubt hold so many people back from becoming a better singer. A lot of people just don’t feel comfortable with their voices. Sad that people are not aware just how enjoyable learning to sing is. Please don’t believe the myth that learning to sing is a born talent that can’t be learned. This is common misconception that is simply not true.

Of course another very common excuse not to learn to sing is the expense of private singing tuition. While this used to be a valid reason not to learn to sing, it’s not anymore. The thing is that now there is a huge assortment of affordable and high quality home study singing lessons available that money is no longer a real barrier to becoming a singer.

Here a some of the many great reasons why learning to sing at home is such a great idea. In these financially tough times saving money is important and learning to sing at home is very affordable. The other great thing is that online singing lessons give you the flexibility to schedule your singing when it’s convenient for you. It’s great also that you can take the lessons at your own pace knowing that you can always go back to revise the material. You can load the audio onto an mp3 player and learn on the move. I think that the biggest advantage of home study singing lessons is that you get to learn from the most experienced and highly regarded vocal instructors in the world.

So there you have it. Plenty of great reasons to learn to sing and no more excuses to hide behind. Get started singing with these singing lessons online.
